摘要
This paper explores the transformative approach of integrating security practices into the DevOps methodology and fostering a collaborative culture in software development organizations. Authors provide an overview of the concept of DevSecOps as a culture, highlight its benefits, discuss execution strategies, and address the challenges that could be faced during implementation. DevSecOps as a culture emphasizes collaboration, communication, and shared responsibility among development, security, and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle. By integrating security practices early on, organizations can enhance security, improve collaboration, and accelerate time to market. The benefits of implementing DevSecOps as a culture include enhanced security, faster time to market, improved collaboration and communication, compliance readiness, and cost efficiency. Executing DevSecOps as a culture requires a cultural shift, breaking down silos, and fostering collaboration among teams. Organizations must invest in up skilling employees, integrating security practices into development and operations processes, and leveraging automation for efficient security testing and monitoring. However, challenges such as resistance to change, skill set and knowledge gaps, tool integration, and dealing with legacy systems need to be addressed for successful implementation. In this paper, authors have also discussed about the probable solutions for DevSecOps implementation challenges which may help in successful implementation of "DevSecOps as a Culture".
