In the present report, an unusual observation of Griffiths phase-like magnetic behavior in a geometrically frustrated antiferromagnetic system, Sr2InRuO6, has been discussed. This surprising magnetic behavior in the present sample is found to be associated with the presence of clusters above and below the critical temperature (T-cr approximate to 150 K). Two plausible scenarios are discussed for this intriguing observation of nonanalytical inverse susceptibility in this system. These scenarios are based on significant changes in the saturation magnetization of the clusters and changing concentrations of the clusters with decreasing temperatures. The average size of the clusters was estimated to be similar to 4.9 nm at 300 K and similar to 2.7 nm at 100 K. A similar to 17-fold increase in the cluster concentration across T-cr approximate to 150 K results in non-analytical behavior of inverse susceptibility observed in this system. Additionally, the electrical properties of Sr2InRuO6 are reported.
