摘要
With the requirement of energy saving and emission reduction, the pure electrification of ships in the transportation field is imminent. The large size of the ship needs a set of battery thermal management system (BTMS) suitable for the vessel working conditions to maintain the normal operation of its power battery. BTMS at this stage are categorized as passive, active, and composite. Because of the significant advantages and disadvantages of the active and passive types, the composite type has a wider application prospect. Common vessel working conditions faced by ships include alternating humidity and heat, salt spray at sea, as well as pitching, rocking, and vibration, which may adversely affect the BTMS. In this paper, we first review the current stage of research on BTMS as a way to find a suitable BTMS for ships. The possible effects of the vessel working conditions on the BTMS and their solutions are then evaluated as a means of exploring the possible shape of the BTMS for electric ships in the future, as well as the research challenges.
