摘要
Satellite communications have played a crucial role in communication networks for a long time and has been recently recognized as an important component of next-generation communication networks. As one of the performance indicators to evaluate reliability, the outage probability of a single-input multi-output (SIMO) satellite-terrestrial communication system modeled by shadowed Rician distribution is analyzed. The large deviations principle (LDP) is exploited as a tool to derive concise closed-form expressions of upper bounds on outage probabilities. In addition, an application of the proposed LDP-based scheme in a two-user non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) satellite-terrestrial network is proposed. Simulation results are presented to verify the derived theoretical results.
