EDUCATIONAL SOLUTIONS TO THE IMPACT OF INSECURITY IN TOURISM

The relationship between insecurity and tourism activity is a topic of increasing relevance in the academic and professional sphere. As the world faces various socio-economic and geopolitical challenges, security has become a determining factor for the success of the tourism industry. This work analyzes the impact of insecurity on tourism activity and explores its negative effects, challenges it poses and possible opportunities that arise in the midst of this complex scenario. The method applied is the qualitative- quantitative modality, with field and exploratory research with which the problems affecting Ecuador were known. It is concluded to highlight the need for effective strategies, such as crime prevention, awareness and collaboration between relevant actors to mitigate the negative impact of insecurity on tourism activity.
