摘要
The article presents result of a study carried out in a higher education institution in the field of physical culture in the city of Chihuahua (Mexico), where the topic of organizational culture is studied from the framework of intellectual capital in its dimension of human capital. This is a mixed descriptive-explanatory study, using as an instrument the application of a study methodology of the Cameron y Quinn model (2011), with a random sample of 83 teachers. The findings of the research express the perceptions of the academics regarding the condition of the educational institution under study, in which various market cultures and hierarchies are identified, however, they express intentions to work within the framework of clan cultures and adhocracy, that is, moving from controls with an external focus and focusing on competitiveness and the achievement of academic indicators, as well as migrating to an organizational culture identified with collaborative, team work, within the framework of flexibility, entrepreneurship, committed to innovation and the creation of new challenges, and with an emphasis on being at the forefront of related institutions. The study concludes that the need to achieve approaches to intellectual capital is a determining strategy to address decision-making in the quality of the processes that are developed in higher education institutions, as is the case of the entity participating in this research.
