Taxonomic study of the genus Phidon (Blattaria: Pseudophyllodromiidae) with descriptions of the male and female genitalia

In the present taxonomic study of the genus Phidon , P. bullocki , P. araucanus , and P. reticularis are redescribed. The male and female genitalia are described for the first time. The most important diagnostic characters of the male genitalia are the sclerites L2D<acute accent>, L4V<acute accent>, and v.c.c., and the sclerite sp.pl. of the female genitalia. Phidon bullocki and P. reticularis are similar, with females difficult to differentiate also from the female of P. dubius . Phidon chanco is clearly different from the rest of the species. The geographic distribution of all the species of the genus is reported.
