摘要
The organelles within cells perform distinct functions, regulating various physiological activities. Simultaneously, they collaboratively engage in intricate connections to execute essential physiological processes crucial for the organism's survival. Therefore, the development of fluorescent probes capable of accurately targeting organelles at the subcellular level holds significant importance. Additionally, facilitating biological imaging and treatment of diseases of these specific organelles is crucial. Aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens), with their counteractive nature to the aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) effect, exhibit strong fluorescence emission rates, exceptional photostability, and high signal-to-noise ratios. These attributes make them highly attractive as noninvasive real-time fluorescence imaging tools, and their applications in disease treatment are currently undergoing extensive exploration. This review consolidates recent research progress on AIEgens, focusing on organelle-targeted fluorescence imaging. Furthermore, an exploration into the application of AIEgens for disease diagnosis and treatment is conducted. The overarching objective of this review is to provide insight into future prospects and enlighten novel ideas for the application of AIEgens in the context of various diseases.
