摘要
In the context of sustainable development, the trend of organic foods and the focus on the cost of individual human health, the nutritional value of products, environmental protection, and the importance of bio certified food products is also increasing, throughout the food supply chain. The aim of the paper is to identify the way bio certified food products are perceived and the attitude of practitioners regarding the use of bio certified food products in public food units, in the Brasov tourist destination. In this respect, qualitative marketing research was conducted. The results of the study highlighted the fact that, at the level of public food unitscomponent parts of the food system, the implementation of the organic concept is still quite low, due to the low level of consumer demands for such foods. However, practitioners noted that there was an upward trend in consumer demand for bio certified food products. The results are useful for the managers in the field of hospitality in order to increase the interest in bio certified food products, but also for decisionmakers in public administration and politics. The paper also offers suggestions for future research directions.
