摘要
Persistent symptoms following mild TBI present treatment challenges and hinder community reintegration. Recognizing the multi -faceted nature of persistent symptoms, influenced by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors, can aid in developing an individualized treatment plan. The mainstay approach to prevention of persistent symptoms involves early education that manages expectations and emphasizes the high likelihood of full symptom resolution. Specific strategies can involve using terms like "concussion" instead of "brain injury" to avoid potential associations with ongoing disability and to validate symptoms without implying attribution or causation. Early active targeted symptom treatment, often necessitating a multi -disciplinary team, should be implemented. Prioritize nonpharmacological methods and try to avoid polypharmacy. For further guidance, the following clinical practice guidelines are driven by evidence -based research and serve as a comprehensive resource for managing persistent symptoms after mTBI. http://www.healthquality.va.gov/guidelines/Rehab/mtbi/
