摘要：
This paper reviews studies concerning the social impacts of heat waves, considered to be the most important and dangerous hazard related to the current climate emergency, combined with the effects of Urban Heat Island. The influence of cooling materials to reduce heat related mortality especially in the context of Covid-19 economic recession is highlighted.
