摘要
A new genus and species belonging to the planthopper family Inoderbidae, Imbricatala novitas gen. and sp. nov., is described based on a well-preserved specimen from the mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber of northern Myanmar. This is the second genus of the subfamily Inoderbinae which mainly differs from the previously described genus in frons elongate with paired sublateral swellings, mesonotum with five carinae, tegmen about 1.5 times as long as hind wing, tegmen with triangular basal cell and RP and CuA both with 4 terminals, legs covered with short setae, metatibio-tarsal formula 5: 10: 11. The subfamilial diagnosis characters of Inoderbidae are briefly discussed. Imbricatala gen. nov provides more information to understand the morphological diversity of Inoderbidae during the mid-Cretaceous.
