摘要
Modality in simulation is the use of various simulation tools, techniques, or methods throughout a training session. Diverse types of modalities from case-based discussion to virtual to manikin-based simulation have been discussed, along with related applications of the various modalities. Appropriate selection of the modality to match the learning objectives is of the utmost importance to ensure a high-quality simulation-based education session along with knowledge and functional task alignment. The educator using the modality needs to be competent in its use along with training in the area of facilitation.6 6
