摘要
Li-S batteries are promising because of the ultrahigh theoretical energy density (2600 Wh kg(-1)), however the severe shuttle effect of polysulfides and hysteresis of reaction kinetics hinder the application of Li-S batteries. Hence, this work raises a vanadium-based MXene modified separator for Li-S batteries, which can effectively inhibit the irreversible loss of polysulfides and further accelerate their rapid conversion. In addition, the kinetic enhancement role of this functionalized separator is studied from the electrochemistry perspective. As expected, both the cyclic stability and rate performance of Li-S batteries with this advanced separator are significantly improved, which highlight the application prospect in the field of energy storage and conversion.
