摘要
Transportation costs represent significant part of entire logistic costs incurred by companies and that is why a considerable significance is attached to seek solutions to reduce expenditure in this area. Company managers specializing in logistics may need support because they often face decision problem related with selecting the most economical transportation option. The objective of this paper are methods for assessing available variants of realization carriages and they are based on analyzing components such as cost structure, demand for transportation services, expected value and break-even point. The example that was taken to implement developed methodology were freights carried out within a military distribution network. This network was reflected on the basis of the Regional Logistic Base notes operating in the Polish Armed Forces.
