This text analyzes how emerging technologies and, specifically, the metaverse are affecting conceptions of security and International Relations. Based on the concepts of technopolitics, cybersovereignty, cyberdefense, cyberspace and the security theories of the Copenhagen school, both the strategic frameworks of a series of representative actors in the use of these technologies and their implications are analyzed. To this end, a structured -descriptive analysis has been used consisting of access and analysis of various programs and representative legislations. As a preliminary result, the relevance of these technologies in the perception of security stands out.
