A Case Study of Teaching Methodologies of Korean Culture Class Using Flipped and Project-Based Learning

摘要
This study aims to analyze Teaching Methodologies of Korean Culture class that applied a teaching model using flipped learning in addition to project-based learning to examine its effectiveness and complementary points. A teaching model was designed and applied to the Teaching Methodologies of Korean Culture class. The class focused on a project-based learning method in which students completed a project called the "Development of Korean Culture Class Materials and Mock Class for Foreign Learners". A flipped learning method was applied, in which videos or materials were provided in advance for areas requiring learning, and based on these, discussions or assignments were conducted in the classroom. Consequently, students' class participation increased compared with the previous semester's class. Students participated selfdirectedly in class and became more active. Further, it helped students develop their capabilities as Korean language teachers by planning their own projects, proceeding step-by-step, and completing them. Moreover, providing detailed feedback during the project improved the quality of the results.(Sangji University)
