摘要
Many data suggest that atherosclerotic inflammation may play a role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, large-scale studies are lacking. Recent findings also show that predictive biomarkers appear to exist years before the onset of clinically manifest disease, indicating that underlying inflammation may long precede manifest disease.
