A comprehensive review on the progress of transition metal oxides materials as a supercapacitor electrode

摘要
As a consequence of the sky-high need for energy, various forms of energy have been developed. Consequently, storing this energy is a highly challenging task. Supercapacitors, therefore, play an exceptionally distinctive role in the realm of energy conservation. Since it has a micro shape, lightweight, high-power density, and prolonged lifetime, it attracts attention worldwide. Within this paradigm, a significant amount of research particularly on electrode materials has been documented, and significant advancements have been made in the fundamental and practical disciplines of supercapacitors. Here is a summary of recent advancements in TMO-based electrode materials for supercapacitors. First, a brief overview of supercapacitors is given, followed by a survey of recent research on single, binary, ternary, and quaternary metal oxide material electrodes. It describes how well these materials operate as capacitor electrodes as well as their properties and fabrication processes. The transition metal oxide materials-based supercapacitor devices are outlined in the third section. Finally, it is suggested that prospects use transition metal oxide materials as supercapacitor electrodes.
