On the former Deutsche Bank site in Frankfurt's city centre, an impressive new ensemble of four high-rise buildings and a shared six-storey base building with underground car park is being built. The shell of the building is now largely complete and the topping-out ceremony was held in September 2023. The high-rise buildings are 233 metres (T1), 178 metres (T2), 125 metres (T3) and 105 metres (T4) high. Office use is planned for the T1 and T4 towers, and residential use and a hotel are planned for T2 and T3. The office space on the top floors of T1 will be the highest in Germany. The inner-city location poses particular challenges for the project. For example, the excavation pit was constructed using the down method. The different requirements for the use of the towers led to different construction methods for the typical storeys: while the shell of the residential towers was made of in-situ concrete, prefabricated elements proved to be the optimized construction method for the office towers. The report is divided into three parts. The first part presents the project and provides overviews of the components. The second part deals with the bracing system of the towers, including measures to increase stiffness. Finally, the third part describes special construction methods.
