ASSESSMENT OF USERS' SATISFACTION WITH A UNIVERSITY LIBRARY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The assessment of libraries as a part of their overall efficacy has existed for an extended time, a significant number of studies pertain to non-pandemic periods and are commonly focused on the public sector. The University Library User Satisfaction Survey conducted and analysed in this paper, aimed to investigate the quality of library resources, services and operations before and during COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted in the private higher education institution (HEI). Data was collected using a questionnaire which was completed by university students and teachers. Analysing results of the survey we gain insight into the quality of the business operations that were maintained during the pandemic. Recommendations from the questionnaire were focused on expanding database subscriptions and literature and enhanced search engine functionality. The results of the survey indicate the direction to proceed in regarding library services and library's annual plans and programs, concerning the material procurement plans. The collaboration of librarians and university teachers is essential in procurement policy, bibliography of research studies and choice of exam literature.
