摘要
This paper deals with possible solutions to heating demand coverage. It compares the usual solution of heating by combustion boilers with the possible use of more advanced technologies. These technologies are cogeneration units and heat pumps: through their appropriate use and control, it is possible to achieve significant savings in primary fuels. Heat is needed especially in winter; it is therefore optimal to operate cogeneration during this period. Produced electricity can then be used to compensate seasonal drops in solar photovoltaic production. Increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources can significantly contribute to the transformation of the energy sector toward sustainable sources.
