<正> As a prototype test example of double curvature thin arch dam, Quanshui, in China, natural frequencies of dam-foundation-reservoir system have been obtained by using three kinds of field measurement conditions including artificial excitation, overflow vibration and ambient fluctuation. Excellent agreement gained between theoretical analysis and measurements demonstrates that the mathematical model and material parameters chosen are in good accord with the real situation. Besides, some preliminary analyses and discussions in this paper are devoted to coupling interaction behavior between dam and foundation.
