摘要
This study aims to explore and manufacture neutral or alkali deep eutectic solvents (DESs) for extracting wood-based lignocellulosic materials. Here, three disaccharides, three alkalis, one phenol, choline chloride, and glycerin were used as either hydrogen bond donors or hydrogen bond acceptors. An alkali DES (pH 11) was produced by mixing potassium carbonate and glycerin in a 1:5 ratio. This alkali DES can be used to extract a significant amount of components from the wood meals. Further, a weak acidic DES (pH 6) was produced by mixing resorcinol and choline chloride in a 1:1 ratio; however, DES extracts a relatively lower amount of components from the wood meals when compared that extracted using the alkali DES. © 2020 Korean Technical Assoc. of the Pulp and Paper Industry.
