DESIGN AND CONTROL OF AUTOMATIC BOTTLES PACKAGING LINE WITH MODULAR MODELLING AND SIMULATIONS

Paper deals with the development of automatic bottle packaging line using modelling and simulation with Arena Simulation software. The aim is to analyze the complex process of liquids processing, planning the filling and packaging line, implementing control with sensors and acquiring results that will present the functionality of the line. The model developed includes interconnected modules that represent the necessary processing machines: filling machine, capping machine, labelling machine and other units like supply reservoir, depalletizer, conveyors, palletizer, and storage as part of the main line. As part of the process control, sensors are included in the main units to monitor, control, and optimize the movement of bottles. Results will be acquired for the number of processed bottles at the end of the line and the number of pallets completed in order to analyze the performance and efficiency of the line. For the modelling and simulation of this line was used the Packaging Panel of the software. © 2023, Politechnica University of Bucharest. All rights reserved.
