摘要
The present study has been performed to indentify the ability of Vetiveria zizanioides (V. zizanioides) for phytoremediation of manganese from synthetic wastewater in hydroponic system. A manganese concentration of 10 mg/L has been used in the Half strength Hoagland's nutrient solution. The effects of treatment time and pH on removal of manganese have been investigated. Optimum growth of V. zizanioideshas observed at pH value of 8. 99.3 % removal of manganese is occured by V. zizanioides. The manganse accumulation tendency in V. zizanioides is observed as leaves < stems < roots. It is evident from result that the V. zizanioides has potential to treat manganese contaminated wastewater. © 2022
