Abstract: Tin-bearing waste from tailings may be used to produce synthetic soil for reclamation. The basic principles for this process are developed. An experiment shows that mustard shoots change in length with increase in the waste content in the soil: increasing the concentration to 8% results in almost fivefold decrease in length of the shoots. The effect on oats is less severe: with 8% of waste in the soil, the length of the shoots is decreased by less than half, and further increase in waste content has little effect. © Allerton Press, Inc. 2024.
