摘要
This text presents a study of the state of knowledge about Art Teaching in technical courses integrated into High School at the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. This is a search for bibliographic sources that have addressed the aforementioned problem in the period from 2011 to 2020. The searches for theses, dissertations, articles and books were carried out at the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), at the Bank of Theses and Dissertations by the Coordinationfor the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), in the Scientific Electronic Library On-Line (Scielo) database and, Google Scholar database. At first, we made a distinction between Art as a technical skill or cultural content and Art as a content specific to educational environments, and then, we showed discussions and reflections carried out by researchers from different parts of the country, allowing us to verify that the teaching of Art has the potential to overcome the predominantly mechanical and technical aspect that schools with a professional and technological profile are impregnated with. The texts, unanimously, place the teaching of Art as a transforming and humanizing factor, which crosses the barriers of simple technique and allows students to understand a non-objective world, and so allowing them to understand their own subjectivities
