摘要
Classroom response systems (CRSs) such as clickers have become increasingly popular in chemistry classrooms nationwide; however, the use of these devices is most common in large lecture settings. This chapter will describe the introduction of clickers in sophomore level organic chemistry courses taught by a single instructor at Wagner College, a small, private liberal arts institution with an average class size of seventeen students. When comparing the Organic Chemistry classes in which clickers were used to previous iterations of the course, it was evident that incorporating a classroom response system increased student participation and accountability, while improving their overall attitudes towards the course. © 2019 American Chemical Society.
