摘要
This study focuses on forced convection in a horizontal channel that contains a porous medium consisting of two different particle sizes, known as a bidisperse porous medium (BDPM). To obtain analytical solutions for the temperature and velocity profiles of both the fluid and solid phases, the homotopy analysis method was employed. The slip condition and convective boundary condition are considered at the channel boundary, and the effects of important parameters on temperature and velocity distributions for both fluid and solid phases as well as the skin friction and Nusselt number are analyzed through graphical representations. These parameters include the heat source term, thermal radiation term, and other important physical significant factors. The study reveals that an increase in the heat source term increases the temperature profiles while an increase in the radiation parameter decreases the temperature profiles for both the fluid and solid phases. This finding will provide valuable insight for designing the system by enhancing efficiency and thermal performance where forced convection in BDPM is taking place.
