Increased production and operational efficiency in the chip preparation area, through new chipping control tools

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de apresentar alguns dos principais resultados operacionais da area de Preparacao de Cavacos da Eldorado Brasil Celulose antes e apos a implementacao de um novo controle na area de picagem. A logica utilizada nesse controle levou em consideracao a altura do feixe de toras de madeira, o set point do ritmo de producao da linha de picagem, a media de corrente dos motores dos picadores e o torque das roscas primarias apos os picadores. Nesse sistema, o controle e aplicado a velocidade das mesas de picagem, que varia de acordo com a variacao dos parametros citados anteriormente. O principal objetivo deste sistema e reduzir o numero de paradas das linhas de picagem por nivel alto do chip bin, proporcionando maior estabilidade operacional e maior producao volumetrica de cavacos. Os resultados indicam que, apos a implementacao do novo sistema, foi possivel aumentar a producao de cavacos, seu MSR e sua eficiencia operacional, resultado do aumento de estabilidade das linhas de picagem. Esse aumento de estabilidade e traduzido pela drastica reducao do numero de paradas das linhas por nivel alto do chip bin. Os resultados observados permitiram uma maior producao na planta de Preparacao de Cavacos, o que foi decisivo para a possibilidade de aumento de producao de celulose na fabrica da Eldorado Brasil Celulose.
