Legal sustainability indicators of brazilian environmental legislation for rural environment

Legislation is the instrument that provides socioenvironmental control of human activity over relief. Today, it studies ways to reduce environmental impact and improve the performance of sustainability indexes. In this context, the present study aims to extract indicators of legal sustainability from the Brazilian environmental legislation for the rural environment. The study is justified to delimit the navigability environment of the domestic standard and enable the expansion of environmental control mechanisms by means of indexes, as well as making it possible to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of legal provisions in rural reality. The general objective is to review and systematize the Brazilian environmental legislation and to identify indicators of legal sustainability in the federal legislation, applicable to the rural environment. The proposed research problem is: "Does the federal environmental legislation have indicators of legal sustainability, applicable to the rural environment?" The hypothesis is that it is possible to identify indicators of legal sustainability in Brazilian environmental legislation applicable to the rural environment. The applied methodology is the Cartesian method, in relation to the systematization of Brazilian environmental legislation, with the application of bibliographic and exploratory research in laws and environmental. The result obtained was the confirmation of the research hypothesis, in the sense that part of the federal environmental legislation has several indicators of legal sustainability applicable to the rural environment.
