摘要
This paper gives an overview on the creep behavior and damage of ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) reinforced with continuous ceramic fibers. Emphasis is also given on the experimental difficulties occurring during CMC creep tests and on the different way to model the creep behavior of such composites. These materials are more creep resistant than the corresponding monolithic ceramics (when there exist!). Damage creep or damage induced deformation is the first damage mechanism which occurs when the temperature of deformation and the applied stresses are low.
