摘要
Low temperature properties of the heavy-fermion compounds in a magnetic field have been studied by use of a large-N expansion. Three mechanisms for heavy-fermion quasi-particle scattering were taken into account: normal impurities, boson fluctuations around the coherent state, and site-to-site variation of the exchange interaction between conduction-band electrons and localized f-electrons. The competition between these scattering processes can lead to the sign change of the thermoelectric power and temperature- and magnetic field-dependent parts of the resistance. The temperature and magnetic field dependence of the thermal conductivity and the Lorenz ratio in the coherent state are also studied.
