摘要
The paper is mostly concerned with the aerodynamic design of two-dimensional wings and three-dimensional wing-body combinations to achieve design objectives under conditions where the flow is transonic or supercritical. It is shown how computers and advanced theoretical methods are being used in aerodynamic design. Clearly, great progress has been made but there is still a need to develop and extend the methods to handle more complex and realistic shapes and flow situations and to achieve greater accuracy. This will involve the use of finer computing grids in regions of particular difficulty and better allowance for viscous effects for flows with both attached and separated boundary layers.
