摘要
The contribution to quasielastic pd scattering from the ghost state needed to solve the U(1) problem is analyzed. The method of Regge poles is used. It is shown that it is possible to discover the ghost in experiments. Owing to the contribution from the ghost, the behavior of the cross section for large s differs from the Regge behavior. The dependence of the cross section for pd scattering and of the width of the forward peak in t on s is estimated numerically for various values of the coupling constant g(QNN) of the ghost and the nucleon.
