SYNTHESIS OF DERIVATIVES OF 2-HYDRAZINO-1,4-DIHYDROQUINAZOLINES OR 3,4-DIHYDROQUINAZOLINES

The title compounds 12-14 are synthesized by hydrazinolyses from 1H-1,4- or 3H-3,4-dihydro-2-aklyl-thio-6-chlor-4-phenylquinazolines 6, 7, 10, 11. Reactions of 6-chloro-1-methyl-4-phenyl-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinozoline (4) and 6-chloro-3,4-diphenyl-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinozoline (5) with iodomethane afforded at first 6-chloro-1-methyl-2-methylthio-4-phenyl-1,4-dihydroquinazoline and 6-chloro-3,4-diphenyl-2-methylthio-3,4-dihydroquinazoline which at once split methanthiol to give 6-chloro-1-methyl-2-oxo-4 -phenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazoline (8) or 6-chloro-3,4-diphenyl-2-oxo-1, 2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazoline (9)
