摘要
The students of higher level, are those who present higher level of academic stress, and in Cajamarca, according to the data of the Regional Hospital, the profile of those who have tried to commit suicide coincides with that of young students. Therefore, the present investigation, of simple correlational type, has as its main objective to determine the relationship between stress and suicidal ideation in university students. The sample consists of 169 psychology students selected through a probabilistic technique from a private university in Cajamarca. The SISCO Inventory of Academic Stress and the Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale (SSI) were used to collect the data to determine the relationship between both variables. For the analysis and processing of data, descriptive and inferential techniques were applied. The results indicate a significant, direct and low correlation between academic stress and suicidal ideation.
