摘要：
Integrated plant protection and integrated production aim locally adapted, sustainable forms of production. Systems of pest management must be ecologically and economically sound and sociologically acceptable. The concept has old roots in the past. Some early achievements are mentioned as well as the history of integrated plant protection in orchards.
