Women and entrepreneurship. A special reference to the incubators in Galicia

The aim of this article is to analyze the role of entrepreneurial women in Galicia's business incubators. To do so, depending on the origin of the term entrepreneur the notion of the enterprising women is set out. Following this, we will analyse the situation of Galician women in the labor market so that we can focus on different aspects of business incubators, we will look at how and where these arise and they will be classified according to their nature and orientation (technological, general). We will deepen into the profile of the entrepreneurial women in the Galician incubators such as level of education, age, the type of economic activity that undertakes, level of turnover and profitability, as well as the importance of the business incubators for the entrepreneurial woman, the reasons why of a lesser female undertaking and future tendency. Finally we present the main conclusions of the article.
