POSSIBLE LANDSCAPES OF CRITICISM AND LITERARY THEORY

The essay starts with an analysis of the assumptions "space" and "time", to verify the meaning they convey in the theoretical, critical and interpretative sense. It then considers the intersections activated by these two terms against the background of 19th-century "landscapes", with particular attention to positions taken by Ingarden, Blanchot, Genette, Hamon, de Man, Wein-rich, Foucault, Lotman and Uspenskij, Bourdieu and Jakob. Finally, a brief review is offered of the most important articles of thematic criticism addressing this topic.
