7 WAYS TO REDUCE NOISE EXPOSURE

Now that the EC noise legislation has been in place for more than 12 months, occupiers of factories are finding increasing interest in the noise levels generated in the work place. Although a reduction in action levels is widely thought to be possible, this author believes that a period of consolidation is the most likely immediate prospect. Factory management can therefore expect increasing pressure from safety representatives, industrial nurses and safety officers, environmental health officers and of course, the local factory inspector.
