摘要
The viscosity, conductivity and density of solutions of Al2Br6 in several aromatic solvents and solvents mixtures, have been determined. The conductivity and viscosity increase spontaneously with time. At a conductivity of 2.5 × 10-3Ω-1 cm-1 and 20°C, pseudocumene gives the highest viscosity value and ethylbenzene-toluene (1:1 volume) produces the lowest viscosity. The observed results have demonstrated a non-Stokesian behaviour for all the solutions studied and a relay type mechanism for the conductivity. The data presented should be useful in the design of industrial plating systems for aluminium electrodeposition from organic electrolytes.
