摘要：
Because of its anatomical architecture and because it drains potentially infected areas, ie, the paranasal sinuses, the cavernous sinus is prone to thrombosis. By combating the causes of thrombosis with large doses of specifically bactericidal antibiotics, anticoagulants, and enzymes administered through the most strategic channels, a more favorable prognosis can be anticipated. Treatment in early stages, was promptly instituted in an instance of acute paranasal sinusitis with complete recovery within 11 days.
