A REAL SPACE SCALING OF ELECTRON CHARGE FLUCTUATIONS IN STRONGLY CORRELATED OXIDES

Electron charge fluctuations in strongly correlated oxides are described in terms of local fluctuations of the electron occupancy in the real crystal space. The model is based on a real space scaling procedure using known exact properties of the reduced density matrices in site representation. A novel state of maximum electron localization is obtained as a result of this procedure. In this state the charge fluctuation vanishes within a region of 2d Wigner-Seitz unit cells, where d is the dimensionality. It is proved that such a state is antiferromagnetically ordered with a special synchronization between the local superexchange fluctuations. A tendency for real space pairing is indicated and a relation with the RVB state is discussed.
