摘要
Students in computer science have to master one essential skill : reading technical documentation. We have chosen a didactic approach based on reading theories. Our pedagogic aim is to lighten the cognitive overload induced by foreign language reading by working on professional texts. To this end, we have developed a software application to help students read English documentation on programming languages. Three types of aids have been designed to alleviate the learner's difficulties and make the input comprehensible. We believe our students can be motivated by our approach, which is based on genre, action oriented and inspired by task-based learning.
