This article presents an overview of the research on the effect of private equity on the performance of the Indian corporate sector, with a focus on the literature related to private equity performance. Private equity exit strategies are covered in detail in the review and analysis, and the article provides insight about the different views and research findings of various authors. © 2015 Institutional Investor LLC.
