摘要
The rapid drop-off of the ductility ratio for Alloy 1 and its subsequent partial recovery and the evidence of intersubgranular attack suggest that SCC plays a role in its failure. The results for Alloy 2 are less clear, and pitting may significantly contribute to failure. The contribution of pitting attack in these alloys cannot be ignored, and standard SCC testing of Weldalite 049 for extended exposure times could lead to erroneous results based on pitting-controlled fracture rather than actual SCC susceptibility.
