Treating spinal cord compression with Chinese Medicine: alternative concepts with acupuncture and Chinese pharmacology

Several case studies show that spinal cord compressions are mainly triggered by vegetative disorders. More than 80% of the cases are related to spinal segment Th12-L2. The author describes positive results where acupuncture and Chinese pharmacology are used to achieve an improvement in the symptoms and partial healing of movement inability as well as urinary and faecal incontinence. The article further discusses the structural functional relationships with very comprehensible therapy concepts as well as effective treatment, with as fewguidelines as possible, for everyday veterinary practice.
