摘要
The feasibility of continuous flow reactors for network-forming polymers is questionable due to the possibility of gelation. A simplified model of a binary condensation is used to model gelation within stagnant pores and on the smooth wall of a tubular reactor. A simple criterion is derived for gelation in pores which can also be applied in a conservative sense to flow situations. More exact conditions for gelation in flow geometries are obtained from numerical calculations.
